Designer Ellenmary Potts was raised in the Goldfields, the daughter of pastoralists and prospectors. After studying Fashion and Textile Design in Perth, she showed at Mercedes Australian Fashion Week for two years in a row and continued working in the fashion industry until the call of the desert brought her home. Strong family ties and a connection to her homeland has kept her there, and she draws on the stark beauty of her surroundings and the vibrant creative community in the Goldfields for inspiration.

EM Potts & Co. designs reflect the smart and classic styles of the 1940’s to 1960’s, with an emphasis on versatility and quality. Ellenmary finds inspiration in the style of elegant women from that period, who were at once unapologetically feminine and at the top of their game – strong, stylish women with influence.

All of EM Potts & Co.’s garments are made in Australia; our styles are designed and developed in the Goldfields, while pattern-making, cutting and stitching is all completed in Perth and Melbourne. These garments are designed to outlive trends, becoming dependable, wardrobe staples and ultimately reducing the wearer’s fashion footprint. EM Potts & Co. is proud to be a part of the 'Slow Fashion' movement, a consumer led drift towards sustainable and ethically made fashion.
